TSR Legal are proud to be working with a dynamic award-winning national firm with offices in Bristol who are currently looking to expand their employment law department by recruiting an additional solicitor.

This is an exciting opportunity for a 2 + PQE Solicitor to join a well-established employment team managing legal expense insurer files as well as assisting with non-contentious work from time to time. There may also be scope for supervision of junior case handlers.

Experience of working in the employment field is essential. The work is challenging but rewarding and the team places a high value on mutual support and co-operation. This would be a great opportunity for someone passionate about Employment law who is looking to progress in their career and undertake excellent quality work.

Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Running a case load of Employment Tribunal claims, including drafting pleadings, drafting witness statements, negotiating settlements and advising on settlement agreements, and instructing counsel or advocates as necessary;
• Complying with insurer service level agreements;
• Participating in marketing initiatives, including writing updates on employment law and providing training sessions to clients;
• Supporting the employment team with non-contentious work, including provision of contractual documentation, handbooks and other employment documentation, together with provision of reactive and proactive employment advice to commercial clients, including telephone advice;
• Ensuring accurate advice is given to clients;
• Billing and invoicing.
