About the QA Supervisor job
The QA Supervisor will work with the site Technical Manager to maintain the quality systems and standards throughout the site.
The purpose of your role will be to conduct, monitor and record relevant checks on all aspects of production, highlighting any non-conformances and taking corrective action, plus supervise the QA team to ensure tasks are appropriately delegated and labour resources allocated to cover all work.
Key tasks:
- Assist in the maintenance of all aspects of the Quality System.
- Oversee the quality of products against specification requirements.
- Work closely with the Production teams monitoring and ensuring that all aspects of the Quality on the factory floor is adhered to.
- Ensure that CCPs within the factory are being adhered to.
- Oversee the collection of samples such as taste panel, shelf life and micro samples.
- Oversee the taste panel and shelf-life assessments.
- Maintain the calibration system in line with BRC standards.
- Maintain the foreign body systems i.e., metal detection, glass & hard plastic system etc.
- Oversee the timely closure of customer complaints and non-conformances.
- Oversee on-site pest control visits and resolve action points.
About You
- Strong quality assurance track record within the food manufacturing industry.
- Ideally degree educated in food science, food technology, food safety or related subject.
- Experience in training/supervising other staff members is preferred.
- HACCP 2/3, Food Hygiene 2/3, and Internal Auditing qualifications are all a benefit.
- A background of working in chilled, high risk or prepared products is desirable.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm.
