Business Services Team Leader

Our client, an established forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a Business Services Team Leader to join their team in Leatherhead, Surrey.

You will be responsible for dealing with a diverse portfolio of clients which are mainly high net worth individuals, senior business people and advisers, as well as multi-national firms and groups including: Technology & E-commerce companies, subsidiaries of overseas corporations, art galleries and antique dealers, upmarket retail suppliers and outlets, sports personalities/motor sport, PR and Marketing and Property development and investment.

Key Duties include:-

• Reviewing the management accounts for UK and multi-national companies and groups, prepared by staff within the department.
• Advising on VAT and PAYE matters, including the review of monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns.
• Assisting startups in all aspects of financial support
• Implementation of accounting and computerised financial systems
• UK financial reporting including annual accounts of limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders
• One-off project work including investigations and occasional secondments to clients
• Reviewing and reporting on financial information systems
• Development of staff within the department, including reviews
• Multi-currency accounting
• General business advice on a wide range of subjects to clients

You will ideally have at least 3-4 years practice experience and hold a professional qualification such as ACCA and ACA, although study support is considered if required.

A good working knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage and Infor10 would also be an advantage.
