Job Description

Salary Bands: Band 6 & Band 7
Location: Schools across East Sussex

Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your career in Paediatrics? Come and work for Children' Integrated Therapy and Equipment Service in beautiful East Sussex.

We are expanding and have available roles including:

  • The developing field of social, emotional and mental health. We are developing OT, SLT and ITA teams to work intensively with key schools to support neurodiversity in the classroom and avoid breakdown of school places. We want to hear from candidates who have an interest in this field, particularly in attachment and trauma
  • Therapy One Point (TOP). This is our duty line, originally set up in the pandemic. We are now ready to develop it into an excellent duty line that provides clinical triage, signposting, detailed advice, pre-referral training and brief interventions. You will work with a full-time ITA and OT; this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is excited by a new project to improve patient care
  • Our Neighbourhood and Integrated Care Teams, where we are transforming how we work with schools and early years settings to accelerate their confidence to deliver targeted therapy. You will be an innovative thinker and strong negotiator, passionate about improving outcomes for children with SLCN in the community

Training is provided and we offer excellent supervision and development opportunities.

Main Duties

  • Work within an integrated children's therapy team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, assistants and administrators for children aged 0-19.
  • Provide assessment, review, specialist advice, training and therapy interventions for children with the following areas of need: alternative and augmentative communication (AAC); pre-verbal communication; receptive and expressive language; speech.
  • Work in close partnership with schools, other education providers and the local authority ISEND services.

As we are an expanding service due to the new project we do have additional vacancies
