Job Description
Main Duties:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as, Electric Motors, Hydraulic Pumps / Valves, Pneumatic / Hydraulic cylinders, Cranes, Automatic Saws, Conveyor / Belt systems and related repair equipment such as Welders, Oxy-Fuel Torches, Drill Presses, Machine Tools, Power Tools and a full range of Hand Tools.
Performs mechanical troubleshooting and repair of machinery
To respond to emergency machine break downs.
Ensuring all machines are safe and fit for purpose
Repairs and replaces defective parts, lubricates and cleans parts
Performs and lockout/tagout procedures according to company policy
Installs and assists with new and replacement equipment
Performs preventative maintenance with regular inspection
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years work experience in Industrial Maintenance position
Electro Mechanical certification preferred
Solid understanding/knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, metal fabrication and electrical maintenance as well as preventive maintenance.
Excellent communication and interaction skills for dealing with operators, shift leader, maintenance colleagues, management, vendors and partners.
Excellent understanding of Housekeeping and HES principles and other regulations associated with the job duties.
Ability to read mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic drawings
Problem solving skills essential to fixing manufacturing system problems
Ability to apply mathematical skills and work with blue prints
High energy level and the ability to handle several urgent tasks at once
Must work Monday - Friday days as well as support in "on-call" status a full week
Experience of extrusion would be beneficial
