Introduction:

We are currently recruiting for an Independent Living Advisor on a full time, permanent basis based in South Gloucestershire.

Our client have been established for over 20 years supporting hundreds of thousands of people to create a better future by supporting with better quality of life, further education and employment, they have a range of courses from warehousing to retail to logistics and security. This role is to support care leavers with information, advice and guidance on how to live independently, providing the participants with knowledge, skills and tools to support themselves in the real world and get back up on their own two feet.

Roles and Responsibilities:

As an Independent Living Advisor, you will be responsible for:

• Providing information, advice and guidance to vulnerable customers who wants to join in Self Directed Support Schemes, Personal Health Budgets, Independent Living Schemes etc
• Assisting individuals to manage their employer obligations and responsibilities based on chosen care package
• Monitoring financial outcomes and creating weekly reports
• Supporting the recruitment activities such as scheduling interviews, recruitments checks, job offer and rejections etc
• Ensure to update the customers' electronic records daily
• Maintaining good relationship with customers and ensuring the information is clear to the customers' end

Experience and Skills:

As an Independent Living Advisor, you will need the following to be successful:

• Experience as an Independent Living Advisor or working with individuals who have disabilities
• Prior experience in Health and Social Care setting
• Ability to create reports, marketing and management
• Knowledge in using Microsoft packages or qualification
• A level 2 Advice and Guidance or relevant is desirable
• Great communication skills
