What you'll be doingYou'll be working within a core team of specialist data scientists, working on projects across the business. Within this, you'll be able to make decisions to build the role into a successful partner with the organization. Drawing upon your skills you'll have the opportunity to work across a range of use-cases and continually develop and add value.The role will see you work end-to end on the process of creating innovative solutions, from recognizing the problem/business need and building the solution, to embedding data led capabilities that explain client motivations and enable your organization to decide on what actions are next. You will additionally support your colleagues in their utilisation and understanding of data solutions through collaborative partnerships.
What experience you'll need to apply - A strong commercial mindset, with experience working within in a fast-paced, changeable environment
- Extensive commercial experience in data, with a proven background in innovative problem solving and delivering results.
- Strong coding ability (R/Python)
- Excellent SQL Skills
- Skilled at implementing statistical techniques in production-grade code
- Experience working in the cloud with AWS ideally would be a real bonus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate requirements from stakeholders
- Familiarity with machine learning methods such as neural networks and reinforcement learning
- Bonus for experience within a financial services company
