Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Practice Manager in our UK&I IT Operations Team who can really make a difference to how we manage our ways of working. The role is positioned within our UKI Operations Centre and will mainly focus upon our Observability and Monitoring capability and improvements to operational processes.

The role holder will work closely with the Head of IT Operations UKI regarding development of strategy, driving efficiencies and quality. You would manage a small team which focuses on the continual improvement of Operations Team processes, observability implementation, while ensuring standards during onboarding of new services in line with our operating procedures and ensuring we leverage the full functionality available from our portfolio of tools and automation.

Additionally, you will drive the establishment of a community of practice across IT and our lines of business, including adoption of the practice and tools, whilst also ensuring awareness and compliance of the service being delivered from the Operation Centre.

Qualifications

We would like to hear from anyone with extensive knowledge of:-

  • Service Improvement methodologies
  • ITSM Best Practice (ITIL certified preferred)
  • Great knowledge within IT Operations Management.

You will also be able to show experience of the following:

  • Leading a team
  • Developing policies/procedures as part of best practice
  • Supporting an IT Operations function
  • Engagement in Service Transition/Onboarding
  • Delivering continual improvement
  • Negotiating compliance to agreed ways of working.

Additionally, you should possess a good knowledge of ServiceNow and have exposure to monitoring and event detection tools, such as Dynatrace (also SolarWinds, Splunk, NNMI etc), would be very advantageous.
