A world-leading development platform are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to support the business as it scales and help with the mission to democratise technology to anybody.
What you'll be doingThe role would see you join the company's commercial & operational data science team, collaborating with the company's current lead data scientist and leading a team of 3-4 to provide statistical analysis, data science, and machine learning techniques for a variety of applications across their core business functions (Such as Operations, Finance, and Marketing).As a Lead Data Scientist, you'll be leading on high-profile projects, working on the development of interesting solutions, sometimes from scratch. Leading a team of data scientists, you'll also work to delegate for company projects, and provide guidance/mentorship for your team members, helping them grow their careers and develop their skills. The role will be 40% on team management, and 60% hands-on development.
What you'll need to apply - A MSc or PhD in a STEM subject, Computer Science or Engineering
- A minimum of 5 year's commercial Data Science experience
- Experience as a line-manager within Data Science
- Experience working on Data Science projects across a range of business areas
- Highly capability in SQL
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Deep learning (PyTorch/ TensorFlow) knowledge is desirable
- Experience with Neo4j is desirable
