This is an industrial electrical maintenance position where you will be part of a team of experienced maintenance professionals supporting our operational team at our Drying site in Par. The majority of your time will be spent working on electrical maintenance jobs either preventative or responding to equipment breakdowns (pumps, conveyors, hydraulics and pneumatics). There may also be some instrumentation work (pressure, temperature and flow) and cross-skilling to mechanical engineering also being a distinct advantage. The role could involve working at height (maximum 13 metres) using a MEWP platform, training would be provided. This is a permanent position operating a rolling seven days two week shift pattern. The shifts are 12 hours a day including one hour for breaks. Practically you will find yourself working five days in week 1 and two days in week 2 giving you plenty of down time to enjoy outside of work. In return we ask for You will have undertaken an electrical engineering indentured apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3/BTEC equivalent. We would like to see certificates at interview. You will have significant experience working in an industrial electrical engineering environment. It would also be great if you have mechanical engineering or welding skills but this is not essential. For the right candidate there is the possibility to join us as a Chargehand which attracts a further annual payment. A full UK driving licence is essential as are basic hand tools we will provide electrical testing equipment. Don t forget that you also need to be comfortable working at height
