Electrical Systems Design Engineers are required to join an International Defence Systems company that designs, manufactures, and supports world leading military systems. The successful Electrical Systems Design Engineers be integrated into the team and be involved with large Military Engineering Programmes. The Electrical Systems Design Engineers will be a key part to the Military Systems programmes for the long-term future of you and the business. The Electrical Systems Design Engineers role will be a varied position and expose you to lots of different military vehicles and systems, which is very appealing and interesting for the right character and skill set.

Electrical Systems Design Engineers will be responsible for the following:

• Electrical Design & integration of equipment at the system and sub-system levels.
• Liaison between Engineering teams, Team Leaders, and suppliers.
• Work to KPI targets, cost, and quality requirements.
• Development of electrical design material, drawings, and electrical engineering calculations.
• Electrical installation of Military subsystems may include:
  • Electrical Design specifications.
  • Single line/block diagrams.
  • Electrical System wiring diagrams.
  • Electrical Schematic diagrams.
  • Electrical Harness design drawings.
  • EMC bonding diagrams.
  • Electrical installation drawings.
• Generation and maintenance of electrical power budgets for 28V DC subsystems.
• Development of vehicle based electrical power generation, conversion, and distribution.
• Knowledge of application of Defence Standards & design of electrical systems & equipment.
• Preparation of electrical harness design specifications, component selection & supplier liaison.
• Development and conduct of electrical test/trials plans and procedures.
• Produce & review electrical engineering drawings, technical reports, and project documentation.

The Electrical Design Engineers should have the following Qualifications Skills or Experience:

• Engineering Degree/HND Minimum Qualification or experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Team player and able to work with a multi-site and electrical systems engineering team.
• Knowledge of in the use of 3D/2D design software for electrical systems.
• Design of components and electrical systems for new products for product development.
• Ability to adopt technical solutions and processes.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft based products.
• Good engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of 12V and 24V DC Electrical Systems in Military Platforms.
