Can you help us deliver more high quality, affordable homes in Bristol to help ensure the city's success benefits all our citizens? The Council's Housing Delivery Team is looking to recruit an experienced Project Surveyor to run new build housing development projects from contractor tender to completion of new homes.
Acting as the principal point of contact for contractors, the role will problem solve, agree any required changes and manage the project delivery from arranging site surveys and site preparation works to handover of the new homes. You will ideally have new build construction and contract management experience to support the aims of Project 1000.
With a diverse and growing population, Bristol is regularly voted one of the best places to live in the UK - and we need to deliver more homes to tackle the crisis of housing affordability and supply that the city faces.
The Council's Project 1000 Affordable Housing Delivery Plan 2022-25 sets out how we intend to focus our land, resources and influence to create a step change in the way Affordable Housing is delivered in Bristol, and significantly increase delivery of high-quality market and affordable homes. Project 1000 aims to accelerate delivery so that half of all homes delivered by the Council and its partners each year by 2024 are truly affordable for Bristol's citizens.
Bristol City Council is embarking on its biggest affordable housing delivery drive for decades. We have launched our Project 1000 Affordable Housing Delivery Plan 2022-25 and are looking to see the completion of 1000 Affordable Homes a year from 2024. Alongside delivery through its Registered Provider Partners and own housing development company, Goram Homes, the Council also has ambitious council house building plans, both through direct delivery and acquisitions from external developers.
