Suffolk


A leading International Consultancy is looking for a Project Manager to build a fleet of safe, reliable nuclear power stations in the UK to secure a low-carbon energy future. The project is a diverse and collaborative organisation committed to engaging stakeholders, obtaining development consent and preparing for the construction of the power station.

This Project Manager will need to specialise in Water and demonstrational history of delivering these types of projects.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Anticipating, managing and resolving issues within the contact or package. Identify risks and facilitate the resolution of all issues raised, develop and update the programme budget, and escalate any issues to the utilities lead.
  • Ensuring level 3 schedules are developed and maintained for the contract or package of work.
  • Reviewing utility service providers.
  • Ensuring the list of deliverables relating to the scope of work is delivered.
  • Applying the principles of earned value management.
  • Applying the principles of continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring that lessons learnt and knowledge capture are practiced as business as usual.
  • Interfacing with other programmes to ensure a high-level view of how the total project is progressing and to identify and adopt the use of best practice.
  • Ensuring that contract or package contractual requirements are fulfilled.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all project team members.

About you

You will have a degree level or higher, or equivalent in a numerate discipline, typically an engineering discipline. You are a member of an appropriate professional body, typically chartered member, working towards such membership, or hold an equivalent professional status. You will have at least 5 years' experience as a project or construction manager for significant civil engineering construction project.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career.
