An Electrical Team Lead Engineer is required for an Aerospace, Defence and Aviation engineering organisation who specialise within repair and overhaul services for aircraft equipment aviation safety and power products. They are looking for an Electrical Team Lead Engineer who will be responsible for resource management and overall performance and control of production output within the Avionics and Assembly Cells. The Electrical Team Lead Engineer will ensure production schedules are met in a timely manner, making efficient use of labour and equipment in line with statutory, compliance, quality, and standard operating procedures. The Electrical Team Lead Engineer will report to the Operations Manager

Electrical Team Lead Engineer - Responsibilities

• Supervision of the Avionics and Assembly Cells.
• Co-ordinate the efficient use of resources and equipment to meet the production schedule.
• Support the implementation of new product development initiatives.
• Maintain and ensure implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures.
• Ensure strict compliance and implementation of all safety standards.
• Monitor defects and warranties to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Adhere with EASA, FAA and company procedures.
• Liaise with the customer support team.
• Achievement of efficient and effective customer service levels.
• Raise and maintain spares when required.
• Train, motivate and performance manage staff, complete performance reviews.
• Identify training and development opportunities as required.
• Manage first level discipline and grievance issues for team members.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of strong team morale and team working.
• Meet health, safety and environmental regulations

Qualifications & Skills Required for the Electrical Team Lead Engineer

• Experience of Power Generation, Avionics & Electrical Theory is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in an engineering/workshop environment is preferred.
• Prior experience of leading teams - desirable.
• ONC / HNC Engineering (desirable) as well as being numerate and literate.
• Ability to interpret and follow in detail compliance and technical manuals.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines is essential.
• Maintain quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work well in multidiscipline/cross-functional teams.
• Customer focused and able to build and maintain robust customer relationships.
• Strong analytical, administrative and organisation skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Capable of communicating accurate and concise information at all levels.
• Strong communicator (written and verbal)
• Well organised and self-motivated

Security Clearance may be required for this role due to the nature of the industry
