The scope of work is as follows:-
- Actively manage the technical interfaces for the onshore scope ofourwindfarm as well as product development to
- Ensure optimal integration of sub-systems into the overall offshore windfarm and transmission system
- Ensure engineering solutions for interfaces meet the continuous cost reduction efforts
- Ensure clear and best allocation of the interface responsibility in project and contract frameworks
- Mitigate risk resulting in claims and delays due to unclear interface definitions between the contracts during project execution phase
- Embedded in the project team the Interface Manager will drive the clarification of technical interfaces between internal/external stakeholders and different contract lots within the asset projects.
- Furthermore the Interface Manager together with the Product Manager will ensure that the products prepared for the asset project are seamlessly integrated into the overall wind farm and transmission system by defining relevant technical interfaces.
- To accomplish the successful interface definitions the Interface Manager establishes and maintains tools such as the interface matrix, interface sketches as well as further documentation clarifying the detailed responsibilities for each interface. This includes the scope of supply, design, installation, specification and commissioning responsibility as well as further requirements and procedures for inspection or hand over if required.
- Enabling the Project Management Group of the asset project to take decisions by driving the technical decision making process, aligning with key stakeholders and providing decision documentation as well as owning and maintaining the project decision log.
- Allocate or manage engineering scope not captured in major supply contract.
- Conduct regular interface risk evaluations with the risk management team.
- Facilitate and coordinate interface meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Role requirements
- University degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Background within complex multidisciplinary and international project environments or experience in product development, including system integration and optimization within offshore wind, onshore transmission infrastructure, energy transmission or similar industries.
- Broad technical experience within onshore transmission infrastructure (onshore substations, joint bays, landfall, onshore export cables, grid connection) Experience, knowledge and competence equivalent to minimum a IPMA Level D or PMI PgMP
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to consolidate complex and scattered information into clear and structured format.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong networks with key stakeholders.
- Positive, open and highly cooperative mindset.
- High degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Frequent travel will be required, in particular to East Anglia where the onshore infrastructure is located, and to Europe to our client's offices.
