The BFI are looking for a Head of Lottery Skills Programmes.
In the BFI's new ten-year strategy 'Screen Culture 2033', we have committed to supporting the development of a skilled and sustainable workforce that reflects the UK population.
A key element of delivering on this ambition is through our National Lottery funding and we are seeking a Headof Lottery Skills Programmes to deliver the BFI's funding for skills, working closely with partners across the UK.
The Head of Lottery Skills Programmes will lead the implementation and management of both the BFI National Lottery Skills Clusters Fund and the BFI National Lottery Skills Fund, as well as the development and design of future BFI National Lottery funded skills programmes. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the funds deliver on key objectives including the development of equitable routes into the sector and ensuring people from under-represented groups across the UK can access the support they need to develop their careers and skills.
As identified in the BFI Skills Review for Film & HETV, National Lottery 'good cause' funding has a distinct role to play in addressing the skills challenges being faced by the film and HETV production sector. The Head of Lottery Skills Programmes will be instrumental in ensuring National Lottery funded activity is aligned to, and where appropriate, helps deliver against the recommendations in the BFI Skills Review.
