Commis Chef - Bamford Club

The Club by Bamford is a new private members club, due to open later this year, set in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside at the Daylesford Farm.

We are seeking 2 highly motivated Commis Chefs to join our new team.

A full-time contract, based on 40 hours per week, £23,500 per annum + TRONC

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be required to support the chef de partie and the Head Chef in the kitchen. You will perform cooking, cleaning, delivery, and other support duties as instructed by the management team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • To execute all dishes as per menu specs
  • To treat the produce with respect
  • To follow the lead set by Chef de Partie and the Head Chef
  • To deliver daily mis en place requirements
  • To ensure kitchen audit requirements are adhered to
  • To comply with the store internal audit requirements
  • Ensuring store standards for hygiene and display are met and maintained
  • Listening, learning & understanding of systems & processes
  • To be fully aware of stock holding at all times & highlight to head chef/ sous chef low stock levels

REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Awards
  • Minimum 6 months relevant experience
  • Awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
  • Experience of kitchen equipment
  • Experience of dangerous equipment such as knives
  • Competent level of English spoken and written
