Job Description
We are currently looking for a couple of Senior Medicinal Chemists to join a growing pharmaceutical drug discovery company in the North West.
The role:
Working with a team of highly skilled Medicinal Chemists you will design and conduct organic synthesis of novel molecular targets.
As a Senior Medicinal Chemist, you will play a vital role in drug discovery projects. Working collaboratively with project scientists you will lead in the design and synthesis for novel target molecules.
Responsibilities:
- Design and carrying out organic synthesis.
- Support and/ or lead a range of drug discovery projects.
- Design and execute novel and complex synthetic routes to challenging chemical targets.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and departments.
Ideal candidates:
Will be PhD qualified in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry and have strong synthetic organic chemistry skills.
To be successful as a Senior Medicinal Chemist you will have previous experience in designing and synthesising compounds for hit to lead and lead optimisation projects either from academia (Post Doc) or industry.
