We are looking for a Senior Data and Process Analyst to join our Assessment Processing team. The overall aim of this important role is to make work easier and more efficient for others across the Business. Due to its nature, the work is wide-ranging and varied, so the role presents an excellent opportunity to practice and demonstrate your skills.

About the role

Part of UK Education, the Assessment Processing team sits within OCR's Operations Directorate and manages core bulk processes for the delivery of General and Vocational Qualifications in the United Kingdom. As such, systems and process data are a fundamental part of our effective, efficient, and reliable provision of services to customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will deliver data/ process solutions in direct response to issues and needs identified by Operations leadership and the wider organisation. This role blends a high level of business process understanding and cutting-edge technical skills:

to develop and deliver clear and effective Management Information and data analysis to support robust operational delivery and informed decision-making though the assessment cycle to develop and deliver low or no-cost process improvements through data analysis and automation to manage the oversight and provision of data in response to major issues and to coordinate reporting and analysis to meet the demands of regulatory stakeholders in carrying out their oversight responsibilities when such issues arise to champion wider adoption of data best practice and process automation solutions. About you

This role requires creativity and imagination to think differently about how we use data to identify, evidence and resolve business challenges. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organisation, working effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues, to co-create solutions.

A proficient user of Visualisation tools (such as PowerBi), and techniques, you must be able to communicate clearly with data. You will be expected to combine this with strong analytical skills and an understanding of the operational processes and processing systems that underpin UK Education's products and services.

Experience with programming languages (such as DAX / SQL / PLSQL / IronPython / M Query) and with the principles and practice of process mapping is advantageous.
