Senior Formulation Scientist

We are currently looking for a SeniorFormulation Scientist to join a research pharmaceutical company in the East Midlands.

As a Formulation Scientist you will support early-stage formulation screening for novel drugs candidates.

Responsibilities include:

• Support/ Lead projects which will include formulation design, process development and analytical testing.
• Design and develop processes for manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to cGMP manufacturing.
• Work with project teams to evaluate, interpret and report results.
• Compile and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure all work is carried out to the relevant quality standards
• Attend research events to maintain an in-depth knowledge of new technologies and regulatory requirements in formulation development.

Ideal candidates will be:

Degree or PhD qualified in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science or Chemistry (or related subject) and have experience in formulation development. Previous experience in solid, liquid and/ or inhaled dosage forms is highly desirable along with experience in spray drying, micronisation, lyophilisation and hot melt extrusion.
