Role Title: Vice President - Finance

Our client is a global leader in the wholesale distribution market. They are looking to recruit a "world class" Vice President - Finance, who will lead the Finance function in the UK and internationally. The business is experiencing a phase of rapid growth and transformation and the successful candidate will significantly influence, develop and implement our client's strategic plan.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your role will be broad and includes: developing the strategic financial vision, setting performance goals, enhancing the sustainable growth and profitability objectives, reviewing requirements for system development and working with Managing Directors and Heads of Finance to ensure that the business is financially sound.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with key stakeholders to provide expert advice, guidance and support on Finance strategy and assist initiatives financially across all regions
Responsibility for the quality and delivery of reporting internally and externally, the overall profitability and presenting the results to the Board
Providing proactive & commercial strategic financial recommendations to allow growth and work on commercial and operational opportunities
Working with the Board to prepare and managing the business for a future "event"
Ensuring working capital requirements groupwide is tracked allowing for quick decision making on investments or capital-intensive decision making
Providing proactive & commercial strategic financial recommendations to allow growth and work on commercial and operational opportunities
Executing the finance transformation programme by working with IT to embed automation
Building on the culture of strong financial discipline through controls, compliance, policy and empowerment of staff
Delivering support on acquisition targets through the provision of due diligence and integration of newly acquired companies and associated financial compliances. Where appropriate responsible for set up of new entities
Overseeing of the Tax strategy, policy, and compliance
Candidate requirements:
A Qualified Accountant with considerable experience leading an international Finance function in a large business that is dynamic and in "hyper growth" mode
Extensive experience in senior and strategic roles in Private and Listed Businesses where you have lead or contributed significantly to an IPO process
Proven leadership credentials and the gravitas to lead Finance teams and manage complex workstreams
Commercially minded and able to strategically steer the business
Able to "deep dive", get into the numbers, detail and problem solve
Excellent communication and presentation skills and the gravitas to operate at all levels internally and externally
