We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our growing team!
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Position Summary
The Sales Development Rep position will see you play a pivotal role in supporting the Customer Account Manager and New Logo teams to help them deliver against their sales strategies. A key part of your role will be to follow up on incoming leads to qualify them before passing them on to the relevant sales representative. As an SDR you will manage this process to ensure that the sales teams are only receiving genuine enquiries to follow up on. You will also be expected to proactively follow up on marketing campaigns through targeted cold calling. Your aim will be to generate new business opportunities that can be followed up by the respective sales representative.
You will be expected to play an active role in shaping any future sales and marketing strategy feeding back into the business the information you gain through your engagement with schools.
Finally, you will need to ensure that all conversations and activity are recorded correctly within Salesforce with subsequent tasks and actions appropriately created.
A Day in the Life
Manage the lead process, qualifying leads and ensuring they are assigned to the correct sales rep
Develop pipeline by building interest with new prospects and clients resulting from your own outbound activities including email, phone and social media
Set meetings for sales team for product demonstrations with interested prospects (from both inbound leads and your own self-sourced leads)
Work closely with marketing and sales teams to initiate the sales cycle with specific, targeted demand generation campaigns with prospects and current clients
Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of solutions and be able to clearly articulate the advantages over competitors
Deliver an exceptional customer experience to all our customers and prospects
Update and maintain CRM records
Achieve targets and KPIs as agreed with the Sales Director
Manage your workload effectively
Work collaboratively with peers within the business to ensure efficient results for prospects and customers
Feedback product and support issues
We are looking for someone who brings
An ability to comfortably talk to others
High motivation levels
Experienced at cold calling
Strong written and oral communication skills
A professional manner.
The ability to absorb and retain information quickly and will have the confidence to contribute your own ideas.
The ability to work in a team and under the direction of a senior sales lead.
