Back End Web Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join an award-winning creative design agency based in Derby.BENEFITS: up to £50k depending on experience, profit share scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working hours, employee wellbeing scheme, pension and hybrid working from the office in Derby City Centre, sociable team, team eventsWe are looking for a Backend Developer to join an established web development team, working on producing scalable and robust applications for clients across various areas of the company. We are looking for someone who has solid experience with PHP and Node.JS and experience developing applications and experience with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.The company have been established for over 20 years and are an award-winning creative agency who specialises in digital visualisation and utilities creative tech and immersive technologies across a variety of markets and sectors. The studio is based in Derby City Centre and the company offers a hybrid working environment working from home a few days a week.Key Requirements:

• Experience developing web applications with Node.JS and PHP
• Exposure to Microservice Architecture
• Previous experience with distributed systems
• Experience with Docker compose creation/management
• Ability to secure backend systems from threats and known exploits
• Experience with full development lifecycle, from architecture and design through to deployment
• Keen interest in keeping up to date with emerging tech and techniques

Nice to Have:

• An understanding of IoT principles and architectures
• Knowledge of cross-browser issues along with quirks/fixes for unique cases
• Good Knowledge of DevOps environments such as Gitlab CI or Azure DevOps
• Experience of the Creation of NPM scripts
