At Airbus, we specialise in the propulsion systems and components used in exciting missions such as the MARS SAMPLE RETURN mission, the next generation of climate observation satellites such as EARTHCARE and BIOMASS, providing telecommunications and navigation services such as ONESAT and GALILEO, as well as the NASA ARTEMIS human exploration missions to the moon and beyond!
The Equipment TA will be responsible for several propulsion equipment's for various variants of chemical and electric propulsion systems (eg mono / bi-prop / cold gas), supporting the full-life cycle of the propulsion system equipment; defining and/ or overseeing the design, development, qualification, acceptance, integration, test and operation of the components in the sub-system.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Ensure performance, qualification, and operation of pressurant or propellant tanks or other equipment's such as valves, thrusters, flow devices, sensors
- Oversee and provide technical support of the equipment throughout qualification, manufacture, sign-off supplier test results and Spacecraft integration
- Be the principle point of contact for Airbus DS regarding all technical topics associated with the equipment
- Prepare, review, and present at design reviews (QSR/ PDR/ CDR/ DRB ) to customer and/ or supplier.
- Define equipment specification and requirements, and manage supplier design and justification, test plan, verification, user manuals, failure mode analysis documentation
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in aerospace or technical industries in the design, development, qualification, integration, and operation of propulsion systems and their components, or similar
- Working knowledge of propulsion system component(s), such as high and low-pressure valves, pressure sensors, gas and propellant tanks, hypergolic thrusters / engines, pipework or filters
- Understanding of design and operation of pressure regulated systems
- Interested in equipment performance analysis, or other numerical modelling
