Principal BEMS Engineer

Principal BEMS Engineer required. Our client is a well established BMS company that operate on a UK wide basis. They are looking for Principal BMS Engineers to work mainly with commercial clients in the South West due to the growth of the business.

As a Principal BEMS Engineer you will be carrying out service and maintenance works, callouts and small works commissioning for BEMS control systems installed within their existing client's premises. This position requires substantial proactive field-based customer facing activity, focussing on service delivery, quality and client relationships.

Principal BEMS Engineer- South West Position Overview

• To attend sites as required to service BEMS and Discreet control systems, carry out Small Works Projects or Remedial Works together with system Upgrade works if required.
• Complete fault diagnosis and rectification on the whole range of BMS equipment.
• Identify potential systems software and hardware issues that may lead to unnecessary failure of services, thereby minimising risk, disruption and inconvenience to building users.
• Keep abreast of technical developments particularly associated with new technology in building engineering services and building management and in all aspects of the mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• To be able to fault find and if capable carry out control panel modifications and installations as required.
• To advise clients on potential improvements and recommendations for their system.
• To have regular communication with the Regional Administrators to ensure all aspects of works are dealt with in a timely manner and completed in the allocated time.
• To attend Call Outs and Breakdowns as required.
• To submit daily service reports detailing works carried out and any recommendations or remedial items needed, ensuring part numbers, time required, and any other relevant information is provided to enable the administration team to produce the required quotation.
• Participate in out of hours call-out rota if agreeable.
• Always maintain the health and safety of self and others by adhering to Health and Safety legislation and the Company's Health and Safety Policy and safe working practices outlined in the Company Handbook
• Support apprentices in a trainer/ mentor role.
• Undertake company Health & Safety and compliance training courses as required.

Principal BEMS Engineer- South West Position Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Trained on Trend as a minimum
• Training on Schneider, Sigma, Continuum/Vista, Honeywell, Priva or Tridium advantageous
• Happy working at heights or cramped areas depending on the project.

Principal BEMS Engineer- South West Position Remuneration

• Salary: £40,000- £45,000
• Holiday package: 25 days + 8BH
