We are working with a highly reputed print company based in Wiltshire who are on the verge of a major digital transformation and looking for a Frontend Developer, skilled in Vue to be at the forefront of this change.Established and trusted by international high street giants for over 30 years now, the business is branching out into the eCommerce and events space. Having recently been acquired by an international company who are masters in the promotional space, this business operates with autonomy but have the added security of being part of a billion-dollar group.The role is highly remote with one trip a month to their office in Wiltshire for key meetings (all travel costs are covered by the company). They have a flexible approach to work so you can pick a pattern that works for you.What you'll be doingJoining a small cross-functional team of Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, and Project Managers, you'll have a keen eye for design and UI and build out elegant and user-friendly UIs across a range systems and applications. This role will primarily be focused on greenfield projects with just a small amount of maintenance and BAU of existing systems/apps.You'll build bespoke applications in Vue from the ground up with a view to delivering Proof of Concepts by middle of 2023, so you'll be able to make your mark and have a say in how things are done.They work in a TDD (Test Driven Development) environment so experience and/or awareness of this would be beneficial but not essential. You'll work with Agile practices and 2 weekly sprints.This role also offers scope for growth and progression to Senior and Lead level as they continue to build out the team down the line.What skills you'll need to apply
  • Demonstrable core frontend coding experience HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
  • Solid commercial experience developing Vue based systems/apps - they are also happy to cross-train from React.
  • Previous experience consuming APIs.
  • Knowledge of Git version control.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
Desirable but not essential:
  • Previous experience within an ecommerce environment.
  • Knowledge or awareness of TDD (Test driven development) practices.
  • Knowledge/experience with Tailwind.
  • Prior exposure to PHP and Laravel.
