Pupil Support/SEND teaching Assistant - Basildon, Essex Do you have a passion for supporting pupils with social, emotional needs? If yes, then this could be the position for you Pupil Support SEND Teaching Assistant Basildon ASAP Full Time Long-term Good OFSTED £75-£85 Per Day Graduate TA's Welcome to Apply Academics are working with a Secondary school in Basildon, Essex, who are currently looking to appoint an SEND TA to support a pupil with social emotional needs with their learning. This school offer excellent support and training so will be a great opportunity for the New Year. This will be a full time, long term position. This is a long term Teaching Assistant role with the view to move to a permanent contract and progression for the right candidate. The school are ideally looking for someone with School experience, but will be happy with people who have transferable skills, Graduate and Experienced Teaching Assistants are welcome to apply. The Role: Working collaboratively with the class teacher to provide excellent learning to all pupils with a range of abilities Providing support and assistance to individual students or small groups Supervising pupils outside the classroom during lunchtime, field trips or break time You may be required to work collaboratively with outside specialists, adopting a multi-agency approachThe Applicant: Hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to have one processed A Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification is desirable but not a necessity Knowledge of the additional needs that a child with SEND may have, and how to support them The applicant should be a patient, compassionate, calm, and approachable individual who is good at building rapport with pupils You must have a desire to make a difference to young people lives Have experience working with children or young people Have GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and To apply, or for more information on the above role, please send an up to date CV to
