Job Description
An exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new purpose-built, in-house machine shop producing high precision components. You will need at least 5 years experience as CNC Turner-Setter operator, have a strong engineering and manufacturing skill set gained in a high quality precision engineering environment. Any further on-the-job training will be provided. A typical day might include: • Manufacturing machined components to engineering drawings using set work instructions and schedules. • Working to production targets maintaining accurate quality records and documentation. • Using manual inspection equipment to perform quality checks using various engineering and workshop equipment when required. • Routine maintenance. The ideal candidate: • Experienced CNC turner (preferably C, Y & live tooling but not essential) • Experience with conventional machines milling and turning. • Ability to set, operate and program a CNC lathe. • Ability to program and interpret Fanuc controllers with confidence. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. • Ability to consistently work to a high level of accuracy • Ability to read and understand precision measuring equipment. • Ability to work unsupervised following training. • Precision engineering experience. • Able to work in a team. • Able to meet deadlines. • Sense of pride in work. • Good communication and interpersonal skills
