About the role
- Support Tied Trade Investment Manager in the overall risk management of customer relationships and transactions.
- Support the commercial team in Tied Trade negotiations and preparation of investment proposals and financial analysis of Tied Trade Investments for Senior Management review and approval.
- End to end ownership of the governance of Tied Trade proposals with responsibility for moving proposals through the approval process and liaising with senior management on queries as required.
- Proactively manage and execute restructuring strategies over a distinct portfolio of customers and take initiative as required to resolve customer issues.
- Forecast Tied Trade investment for current year and building of investment plan for subsequent years by determining likely outcomes for investment method and amount.
- Ownership of coordination of activities and drive appropriate action in relation to the expiration of the Tied Trade estate.
- Manage Tied Trade performance reporting and M&E for the tied trade arrangements.
- Ownership and preparation of key management information packs for review by Senior Management team - including Work Day 5 and Tied Trade Committee Meeting documents - Watchlist, O&R, Exit Update and Trade through Connections.
- Responsibility for computation and preparation of monthly BIDs/BCR and SSPF accruals for posting to P&L.
- Maintain effective controls over the Tied Trade loan book ensuring debt is collected, contractual obligations are fulfilled and investments are accurately reported at all times.
- Develop excellent stakeholder relationships internally across Finance, Commercial, Risk Management, Legal and Diageo Senior Leadership and externally including Customers, Banks, Legal firms and insolvency agencies.

- A strong commercial understanding, you can lead forecasting and investment decisions, P&L literacy, strong analytical capability (data and insight), ability to determine investment impacts on margin
