Salary: Main Teacher pay scale- London Fringe- M2 £31,126-£40,083 Hours: Full Time Location: Chigwell Contract: Maternity Cover- up to 12 Months Our amazing client is a specialist day and residential school that caters for 56 pupils aged 5 - 11 years with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Seeking a Primary Teacher to join them on a full-time permanent basis, they are a truly fantastic school that are based just a 10-minute walk from the central line and boast a fantastic array of facilities such as a Forrest School, School Farm and much more. This vacancy comes with the possibility of renting on site accommodation of a three-bedroom house with subsidised rent if you are looking to relocate into the area (subject to conditions and availability at the time).? Duties to include: To have a commitment to work within a structured therapeutic environment and to be active in the observation of behaviours, planning and implementation of individual management programmes and in monitoring, evaluating, and revising as appropriate on a regular basis. This is to involve close liaison with all staff working within the school. To work within guidelines for 24-hour behaviour management programme, as set out in school's policy. To facilitate the reintegration of pupils into the appropriate environment. This will be for social and academic development and may involve short or long-term programmes, or both. Skills and Experience: Graduate Teaching Status qualification An understanding of national curriculum, especially Key stages 1 and 2 Experience, or interest in, special educational practice, especially with children who have social, emotional and mental health needs. A commitment to further and ongoing training, particularly in aspects of the relationship between behaviour, emotions and learning. The ability to create a sense of aspiration and growth in children and staff The ability to communicate effectively and form supportive and enabling relationships with pupils and staff Ability to work effectively as a member of a professional staff team. Open and honest communication and good presentation skills Up to date knowledge of current special educational needs issues and legislation Current driving licence
