Job Description

As an approved National Tutoring Programme tuition partner, Connex Education Partnership is one of the leading Tutor recruitment providers in the UK and we are currently seeking a Qualified Teacher for a tutor role across both key stages, on site at a small and friendly primary school in Belper. This is the ideal opportunity for somebody who understands the value of intervention-led teaching. The gaps in learning and achievement have widened since the pandemic, and as a Tutor you would play a large role in helping to raise attainment in the children who have been most affected by school closures. Lessons will be delivered to small groups and focused on Literacy and Numeracy, and work will be targeted to fulfil any identified gaps in these pupils learning. For this role, it is essential that you have QTS and recent primary experience as a Class Teacher or Primary Tutor. If you are looking for an alternative to classroom-led teaching, or you re a skilled tutor with years of Tutoring experience and would like a school-based opportunities, we would love to hear from you. As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have: Essential a teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed or BA Hons, with QTS or equivalent Recent experience in teaching or tutoring, relevant to your preferred age range. A fantastic understanding of how to work to a set scheme of work, and the ability to provide constructive and effective feedback that informs next steps The ability to be able to explain key concepts fluently and accurately The ability to rapidly build positive and supportive relationships with children.
