Lecturer in English Immediate Start Cambridge Full time / temporary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lecturer in English to join our team on a full time, temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful candidate will teach Functional Skills and GCSE English to learners on Construction programmes, supporting a diverse cohort ranging from Entry Level to Level 2 in both ability and confidence. Role Details • Start date: Immediate • Contract: Full time, temporary • Hours per week: 37 • Monday-Thursday: 8:30-17:00 • Friday: 8:30-16:30 • Location: Construction courses (vocational pathway) Key Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality lessons in Functional Skills and GCSE English to vocational students in construction disciplines. • Adapt teaching styles to suit entry-level learners up to Level 2, helping to build confidence and skills. • Motivate and inspire students of varying abilities. • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. • Complete all associated administrative and compliance duties. Candidate Requirements • Prior teaching experience in English (GCSE and/or Functional Skills). • All compliance documentation and checks in place. • Able to start immediately. • Strong communication and classroom management skills. • Experience teaching students with varied confidence and entry levels preferred.
