Job Title: Design Technology Teacher (Food Technology & Resistant Materials) Location: Lewisham, South London Salary: £140 £210 per day Contract: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: ASAP Are you an experienced Teacher of DT, searching for a new role? GSL Education are seeking a Design Technology Teacher who is specialised in Food Technology and Resistant Materials for one of our client schools in Lewisham, immediately. About Design Technology Teacher Job Responsibilities: To teach DT to students according to age and abilities while carrying out the obligations of a school teacher To efficiently prepare and present lessons in line with the demands of the Department's Scheme of Work and National Curriculum To teach Food Technology and Resistant Materials to KS3 and KS4 students To periodically evaluate and record students' progress, reporting to the department head and parents as necessary, and providing feedback as necessary Participating in departmental and staff meetings as necessary to support departmental and overall school growth A successful candidate will have A degree or the equivalent in Design & Technology or which has a significant component of Design and Technology, a qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS Must have prior experience teaching DT to secondary students Up-to-date knowledge of current educational developments in DT and experience of using ICT in Design and Technology The mindset to ensure and promote the safety and welfare of the students at the school by taking responsibility for it. Be a professional, passionate, and enthusiastic educator. Have an Enhanced DBS of Child workforce on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
