As an accredited National Tutoring Programme tuition partner, and one of the UK s leading Tutor recruitment providers, Connex Education Partnership is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to deliver targeted work to small groups of children in one of our Derby Catholic schools. This role is open to anyone with QTS and recent Teaching experience within a primary school. Working within this school, you can expect polite and well-behaved children and warm, welcoming staff. Tutoring is an exciting opportunity for any Teacher who recognises the positive impact that small group intervention can have on a child s progress. The education system in the UK has seen a variety of challenges in the last few years, but as a Tutor you would have a clear influence on helping to fulfil any gaps in the attainment of the children who have been most affected by the pandemic. Work is targeted to improve progress in Literacy and Numeracy, and you will be working across the school with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children. As a successful tutor, you will have: QTS or equivalent, and have recent experience in teaching and/or tutoring Sound knowledge of the KS1 or KS2 curriculum, as relevant The ability to explain key concepts fluently and accurately Good time management to fully utilise the sessions The ability to work to the school s scheme of work and provide constructive and effective feedback In return, Connex Education Partnership will offer you: Online training with our provider Thirsty Scholars, which offers over 80 courses completely free of charge!
