Vision for Education are seeking a committed Pastoral Manager to support Key Stage 3 at our client Secondary School in Scarborough. About the role As the Pastoral Manager for Key Stage 3 (year 7, 8 and 9) your role will be challenging, yet very rewarding. The main responsibilities for the role include, and are not limited to: Support the day to day management of school attendance and punctuality for Key Stage 3 To facilitate and support initiatives and interventions to improve school attendance and punctuality To be a point of contact for parents/carers in relation to student behaviour and barriers to learning Lease with the SEND team to review and implement personalised plans for identified cohorts of students with additional needs Mentor a cohort of vulnerable students Develop strategies and interventions to improve student mental health and well-being To support the Pastoral team within the internal isolation room Identify students at risk of permanent exclusion and implement support plans Provide reports or data as requested Attend weekly meetings with the leadership and SEND team Lease with feeder primary schools and the SEND and Safeguarding team during year 6 transition to identify students who may require additional support Provide duty cover for break times on a rota basis Support teaching and support staff in maintaining discipline and following up incidents To rewards good behaviour and challenge/action poor behaviour Grade 7, points 26 to 30. Pro-rata actual salary estimate £24,432 - £27, hours per week Requirements To be considered for the role of Pastoral Manager you will: Have previous experience in a similar role Have experience of supporting young people aged 12-16 years Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including English and Maths) Educated to Degree level is desirable Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
