Job Title: Geography Teacher Start Date: January 2023 Location: York, North Yorkshire Salary: £28,000 £43,685 per annum Contract type: Full-time for 2 Terms / Maternity Cover Are you an aspiring Geography Teacher who s interested working for a reputable Multi Academy Trust in York, for the remainder of this academic year? GSL Education s York branch is working with a client secondary school near to the centre of York, to appoint a Geography Teacher until August 2023. This position is open for both Fully Qualified and Early Career Teachers. The potential applicant is expected to contribute to creating a positive learning environment to enhance effective learning. Scaffold and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners. Support and enthuse learners to reach their full potential. Work with teachers across the Humanities department to ensure progress is made. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.Geography Teacher requirements: Have Qualified Status Teacher (QTS) through a PGCE in Secondary Geography, B.Ed. with QTS or equivalent. Experience teaching GCSE Geography within the last 2 years; A-Level experience is desirable but not essential. Be able to provide relevant references from within the last 2 years. Placements for ECTs will be accepted. Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply a for a new one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
