Job Description

SEN Humanities Teacher Required We are currently seeking a committed and motivated Special Educational Needs Humanities Teacher to start ASAP in one of our client schools in Enfield, North London. The role is full time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm), and will be a fixed term contract to cover a teacher on maternity leave. You will be teaching secondary aged students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and, if possible, you will be required to teach Geography and Religious Studies at Key Stage 3 level and Religious Studies and History at Key Stage 4. The curriculum will also need to be delivered through pathways that meet the needs of all the students. These pathways will need to include blended' learning experiences with a combination of academic and vocational learning to ensure students have the opportunity to develop across a range of different learning contexts. The salary range is between £160 and £240 per day. You will be able to visit the school and spend some time with the pupils and the teachers prior to interviewing with the senior leadership team. What will you be expected to do in this position? • Devise session plans based on curriculum guidelines • Tailor all sessions to ensure pupils progress • Lead sessions, demonstrate and assign tasks • Encourage student participation and performance • Supervise students while they complete tasks and assist with all questions • Assess and report on students academic achievements and behaviour • Ensure all students personal, social, emotional and mental health needs are met throughout the day What's in it for you? • Good rate of pay within the sector • Good SLT support from the existing team within the school • Comprehensive induction programme and continuous in-house CPD from the school • Consistent support from our team during your assignment All applications will be considered, so please don't hesitate to apply.
