Basic hours of work are 37 hours per week working the dayshift for training:

7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday (1/2-hour lunch) and 7:30am to 12:30pm on Friday.

Shift working is also in operation on this site of which you may be required to cover as business needs dictate. A shift premium will be paid when working shifts.

Monday to Thursday 06.00 am to 14.00 pm and Friday 06.00 to 13.30 pm (1/2-hour lunch)
Monday to Thursday 14.00 pm to 22.30 pm and Friday 13.30 - 18.30 pm (1/2-hour lunch)
Responsibilities:

To maintain programme, set and operate a range of CNC Machines to produce ceramic components accurately to drawings issued and to the required specification and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

To programme, set and operate a range of CNC Machines in accordance with health & safety regulations.

To read & understand product drawings & specifications accurately.
To produce ceramic components accurately to engineered drawings, quality standards specified and within the production target times, ensuring scrap levels are minimum.
To have experience and understanding of geometric tolerances within a self-inspection environment.
To handle components to ensure cleanliness and to prevent contamination or damage.
To use basic measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification. (micrometer, vernier, height/depth gauges)
To operate CMM machines both manual and computerised to ensure components meet specification (upon receipt of training)
To complete product process documentation accurately and on time.
To input production data accurately and correctly using the IFS system, including working instructions.
To inform the Value Stream Leader / Cell Co-ordinator immediately of any problems occurring during production process operations.
To carry out basic routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Ensure there is good communication within the team and cross functional teams.
To support and embrace a culture of lean manufacturing.
To support the safety initiative through promoting and supporting the Morgan 'ThinkSAFE' ethos and leading by examples at all times.
To maintain a clean, organised working environment which conforms to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental standard.
To adhere to Company regulations, rules & procedures.
To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time & within any other production cell.
Qualifications:
Recognised qualification such as a Modern Apprenticeship, ONC, BTEC etc in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred, but significant experience in a similar role will also be considered.
Interest in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, which can be demonstrated in personal or professional life
Experience working with Fanuc G coding, Siemans and Heidenhein conversational controls would be strongly advantageous.
Programme offline both at Machine and P/C in Cell
A range of machines with standard 3 axis, 4 axis and 5 axis useto be machined - from 5mm diameter parts with 1mm bores, up to 1m blocks with milled upstands, drilled holes etc.
