The Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion is responsible for recognising, creating and implementing plans to promote an inclusive culture within BaxterStorey. Their key responsibilities include:
Develop a strategy in line with and complimenting the wider WSH ESG targets.
Influence and work with key internal stakeholders to embed the delivery of ED&I work.
Lead strategic ED&I input into key BaxterStorey processes such as recruitment and selection, a leadership framework and performance management.
Support the Heads of People to advise on equality matters throughout the employee lifecycle
Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to advance ED&I as part of our employee engagement journey.
Establish & implement clear reports for the People Director and CEO with agreed key performance indicators.
Influence wider WSH working groups being the expert on ED&I.
Support the Head of Learning and Development in creating programmes and training on ED&I.
Support the Head of Resourcing in creating a brand that appeals to diverse applicants and removes bias.
Keep abreast of developments nationally and internationally in ED&I, implementing new ideas with innovation, creativity and best practice in mind.
What will YOU bring to the table?
Previous experience of working in a ED&I role within a large organisation, specialist knowledge in at least 2 or more areas of ED&I
Experience in engaging and influencing senior business leaders to develop, implement and drive ED&I strategy
Act as a positive champion for change
Ability to drive for impact with a pragmatic approach
Ability to work autonomously using own judgement and as a key leader within in the wider BaxterStorey people team
Effective communication and negotiation skills and a persuasive, approachable manner
