Class 1 HGV Drivers - £32,000 to £36,000 depending on experience + 33 days holiday + benefits

Sandhawk Transport is a rapidly growing logistics business looking for permanent, full time Class 1 HGV Drivers. You will have access to our new fleet of trucks and the latest truck technology both on safety and sustainability. We have numerous full-time HGV Driver positions based from our Hams Hall site.

The role

Permanent and full-time
Various shift patterns: Mornings, Afternoons & Nights, must be flexible
Shift blocks allocated on Thursdays for following week
Shift length 12 hours, average 10 hours. Paid for full shift regardless of driving hours
The driver is not required to assist with any loading/unloading
Driving from fulfilment centre to fulfilment centre
On average 3 Trailer swaps per shift, working with boxed trailers only
Always start and finish at the Hams Hall site, no nights out required
Use route navigation apps to deliver trailer to the warehouse on time
Interact with team members and partners in a professional manner
Complete daily maintenance checks on delivery trucks and notify the manager of any issues
Maintain electronic logs to track routes and deliveries
Ensure you and your truck are well presented at all times
Ensure you are focused on meeting personal and team performance targets
Latest driving technology to support you in your role

The successful candidate will:

Hold a valid commercial HGV driving license with the correct categories C / C+E
Have a Professional Driving Qualification - Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
Hold a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card
Pass a background check and a standard drug and alcohol test
Good communication skills
Have a maximum of 6 penalty points on the driver's license (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
