Residential Support Assistant
Part-time 52 weeks per year (36 weeks term time + out of term time emergency cover)
£19, 655 to £21,100 FTE per annum pro rata
1 x Vacancy for part time permanent

Easton College is looking to recruit a Residential Support Assistant who will play a significant role in the development of students who are under their care living in residential accommodation. Y ou will be committed to helping young people to achieve their potential and be experienced at working in a support and guidance role.
TheResidential Support Assistant is an interesting and varied role, reporting to the Residential Provision and Student Services Operations Manager. You willprovide a positiveand supportivepresence for all those living in ourstudentaccommodation. As an individual, you willneed to have plenty of energy andinject creativity and fun,but above allyou willconsistently and responsibly support and deliver quality care toourstudents. You will contribute to building onthe success of the residentialteam.
Working as part of a team of residential staff you will be responsible for pastoral support, supervision and the low-level medical needs of our students. You will need to be able to stay calm under pressure whilst also being able to empathise and engage with young people.
This role requires you to sleep overnight in the student accommodation as part of your shift. Meals are also provided free of charge during working hours.
Information about working pattern and hours:
On duty shift
5.15pm to 12.15am
30 minutes unpaid break
On call overnight
12.15am to 8am
Handover is at 8am
The shift pattern operates 36 weeks per year whilst students are in residence, plus the role covers holiday periods on an on-call basis, known as phone cover. The post operates on a 52-week basis, with shifts on a 36-week rotation.
Shift includes an evening meal with students which is paid for by the College.
