Job Description

Job Duties:

The Mental Health and Wellbeing of Children and Young People is a key priority in Hertfordshire. Our mental health and wellbeing affects everything we do, and with 50% of mental health issues starting before the age of 14, working to prevent mental illness in children and young people is incredibly important to ensuring they are able to thrive and have the best possible health outcomes.

This post is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in public health, mental health and wellbeing. You will support the work of the Health Improvement Lead by driving forward a number of workstreams including our pastoral leads networks through which we engage with and support education settings across Hertfordshire, and our children and young people's suicide prevention work which you will lead, taking a whole systems approach by working closely with a range of stakeholders and responding to emerging research and insight.

Mental Health is everybody's business, so you will work with a wide range of partners including health, education, and the voluntary sector, to identify and implement opportunities to promote good mental health.

This role will include working on multiple projects simultaneously, so you'll be familiar with project management principles as well as confident to manage your own workload. The post holder will need a Driving Licence as you will be required to travel within Hertfordshire.

We are a small hard working and supportive team, dedicated to innovation and co-production with families, but always guided by research and evidence.

If you share our passion and commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Hertfordshire families, and you have experience and knowledge of promoting good mental health, then we would love to hear from you.
