Work in cross-functional and cross-discipline teams to develop and implement risk-based contract and supplier relationship management capabilities and to tackle specific contractual issues, enabling delivery of DBS services;
Provide effective commercial management of DBS supplier contracts in a multi-supplier environment, including:
Manage delivery of suppliers commercial terms, obligations and milestones;
Support the Head of Commercial or Commercial Lead in ensuring a smooth contractual transition in terms of incoming and outgoing DBS contracts;
Achieve and maintain VFM through DBS suppliers;
Manage the commercial aspects of the contract change processes for DBS suppliers;
Monitor SLA performance and support the wider business in managing SLA performance;
Manage the procurement pipeline with input from DBS stakeholders;
Support the Head of Commercial or Commercial Lead in re-tendering exercises for replacement contracts as they arise, ensuring adherence to applicable rules and regulations, due process is followed and value for money outcomes. Where required to do so by the Head of Commercial or Commercial Lead, lead on re-tendering activity;
Work with internal stakeholders to develop requirements, challenging and refining as appropriate;
Review and recommend sourcing options;
Undertake market research, engagement and develop market knowledge;
Create invitation to tender documentation and run tender processes through to contract award, including governance of the appropriate approvals process;
Engage with legal representatives, Crown Commercial Service (CCS), Home Office Commercial Directorate (HOCD), Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (HODDaT), Cabinet Office Commercial / CDDO and any other government department as appropriate re. supplier commercial and relationship management matters;
Develop DBSs use of its electronic contract management tool, delivering increased and improved reporting. Regularly review procurement processes and guidance to ensure they are relevant and appropriate.
