Salary: £35,336 - £38,553 per annum

Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week
Location: The service encourages flexible working and believes that work is what you do not where you do it. The role will be based at Five Rivers, Headquarters with the flexibility to work from home / DWFRS Stations / Support Offices and we would welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what type of flexible working arrangement will work best for you. There will be a requirement to attend your base location at Salisbury Headquarters once a month for key Team meetings or as required for other meetings / service activities.

As a Corporate Assurance Officer in our Service Improvement department you will:
Ensure that the Service and Authority have a robust corporate assurance framework aligned to planning and scrutiny arrangements
Lead on the formulation and co-ordination of the HMICFRS inspectorate programme for the Service, acting as the main Service contact to the inspectorate
Deliver an annual internal audit programme, approved by the Service, auditors and the Fire Authority

What makes you our ideal
Corporate Assurance Officer ?
4 GCSE passes - Grade A -C / 9-4, including English and Mathematics / equivalent Level 2 qualification / or higher-level relevant qualification
Qualified to degree level, or equivalent qualification, or able to demonstrate significant level of graduate calibre experience at a senior level in a relevant sector
Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and corporate governance
Knowledge and working experience in organisational inspections and audits

Other Information:
You must have a full current driving licence. Use of your own vehicle will be required, however a Service vehicle may be available.
A Basic Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken on the successful individual prior to offer of employment.
