Residential Student Leader

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

£23,789 -£25,389 per annum

Easton College is looking to recruit a Residential Student Leader working in our Halls of Residence. The role takes a leading role in the day to day running of our student accommodation. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the development of students living under our care in residential accommodation, including pastoral and curriculum support as well as disciplinary matters and to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record of providing high quality pastoral and educational support to young people. This role will be working as part of a team of residential staff who support (on a rota basis) students living in residential accommodation at Easton College.

You will be committed to helping young people to develop their independent living skills, to thrive and be happy living in our residential halls and to achieve their potential. You will be familiar with working in a support and guidance role. This role plays a critical part in linking the residential experience for our students with their wider college life, from the perspective of their education and progression.

The Residential Student Leader is an interesting and varied role and you will provide a positive and supportive presence for all those living in our student accommodation. You will be responsible for organising the programme of enrichment activities that students can enjoy in the evenings outside of their lessons. You will have a critical role in ensuring that pastoral needs of students are met, as well as the general housekeeping matters and low-level medical needs of students.

As an individual, you will need to have plenty of energy and be prepared to inject creativity and fun into your work, but above all you will consistently support and deliver quality care to our students. You will contribute to building on the success of the residential team.

This role involves daytime and occasional evening shifts which are planned on a Rota basis and published in advance, so a flexible approach to working hours, ensuring the needs of the young people and organization are met is essential. When working on an evening shift you will be required to sleep overnight in thestudentaccommodation as part of your shift.
