• This is an exciting opportunity to join as a Third Party Assist Negotiator in our friendly and supportive Tesco Insurance Team.
• Ideally you will come from an insurance background and either have experience in motor insurance or an interest in this.

In this Specialist role you will proactively contact and convert 'non fault' third parties to offer repair and mobility services and solutions, whilst providing a high standard of customer service to third parties.
What will you do as a Third Party Assist Negotiator?
• Proactively ensure motor claims are handled efficiently and a quality customer service is delivered.
• Use a variety of communication approaches to contact third parties to help them manage their predicament, building rapport and a positive relationship to help deliver the right outcome for the third party and Tesco.
• To convert third parties to use Tesco repair and mobility services or agree a total loss settlement.
• Negotiate effectively with third party stakeholders and suppliers to ensure a 'fair settlement' is achieved for both the third-party claimant and Tesco.
• Ensure the accuracy of third-party reserves, file status and diary. Proactively manage the department work queue.
• Ensure payments are made only where legal liability is established.
• Identify and report any concerns in relation to potential fraud or instances of identified fraud; act as appropriate.
• Manage complaints proactively; escalating difficult and complex cases to the Team Leader.
• Monitor repair and hire cycle times to ensure costs are actively managed and minimised.
• Negotiate to control costs, for example in relation to credit hire, adhering to deadlines and time constraints.
• Proactively identify opportunities to develop internal systems and processes and, where appropriate, reduce costs whilst ensuring we deliver a quality, customer focused service to our third parties.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Conduct Authority and Data Protection Act protocols and rules
What are we looking for in a Third Party Assist Negotiator ?
• Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills; using persuasion and influence to deliver the right outcome
• Demonstrable ability to show empathy when dealing with difficult situations, maintaining a professional and caring approach.
• Able to demonstrate confidence and an ability to take ownership for own decisions within the established authority limits and parameters
• Able to think creatively to identify and manufacture/develop solutions to meet customer and business needs
• Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to express complex information in straightforward terms where required.
• Able to demonstrate good planning, prioritising and organisation skills.
• Has a positive attitude and a flexible approach to change and team working
• Able to identify opportunities for system/process change and demonstrate a commitment to implement these
