Job Description

Would you like to support Bristol's community and voluntary sector in creating real change in the city?

The Community Resources team is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced person with strong project management skills and knowledge of monitoring, evaluation and learning, who can apply their skills to grow the power of communities experiencing the greatest inequality.

The role will involve:

Working with community and voluntary sector organisations and an external evaluator to embed a learning approach in the Bristol Impact Fund: Growing the Power of Communities.

Developing and using monitoring and grant management systems and information to inform our conversations across the city and ensure that funding is delivering impact where it is most needed.

Supporting the Area Committee process to invest local Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 monies to make improvements within neighbourhoods.

Developing our current working practices to strengthen our contribution to addressing inequality and working on ways that the council can support communities in shaping the public life of the city.

The Community Resources Team sits alongside the Community Development Team within the Council's Neighbourhoods and Communities Service. You'll be working within a highly-committed, dynamic service which is passionate about supporting people to make a difference where they live and promoting equity in all aspects of our work.

The role is generally during normal working hours (Monday to Friday) and can be structured to fit around caring or other responsibilities. While based at City Hall, we support flexible working between home and office. The role very occasionally involves some evening work (e.g. for community or councillor meetings) and potentially occasional weekend work, which you will be able to take back as flexi time.
