We are looking for Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Nesbit House

(Known as Homemaker Lead)

Summary of the Role

The Homemaker Lead provides a range of assistance and support including giving personal care in line with the Homemaker role. In addition they will play a role in guiding and mentoring colleagues and other stakeholders such as residents' relative to understanding and deliver excellence in care.

The Homemaker Lead will either hold or be trained in a specialism and champion the specialism within the home

Nesbit House is a stunning, state of the art care home offering an exciting range of luxury facilities, and an exemplary level of care. Situated with convenient access to the M25, Nesbit House is part of the award-winning Hamberley Care Homes group, and offers residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short breaks.

Responsibilities
Work alongside the Home Manager to identify evidence based training that will work in the home environment and to lead on and support others with implementing same

Successfully complete all Hamberley homemaker lead training programmes which will include at least one day of learning to teach leadership skills and additional learning in area of specialism. This will include moving and handling and BLS train the trainer

Act as a buddy and mentor to all colleagues who require further information/ coaching on supporting people with dementia
Establish and cultivate strong links to the local / National training communities and become a 'champion' by delivering excellent training within the home. This should include linking with any associations such as Care Business associate training

To support and ensure all learning is reflected in the practice within the home and become the expert in dementia care.
A requirement of the role is a training qualification to lead training programmes and teach leadership skills

- £13.00 per hour

- Full Time shifts

- 12-hour shifts

- Enhanced overtime rate available

- Casual dress. Because we want both you and our residents to feel comfortable and at home, Homemakers don't wear uniforms.
