The Metrology and Technical Engineering Group (MMTE) is part of the Engineering Technology Centre (ETC) within the Technology Department at STFC's Daresbury Laboratory are currently looking for an Integration Engineer to join our knowledgeable team working in an excellent environment with access to first class training and an excellent work life balance.
Responsibilities will include leading an engineering project team to understand and relay requirements, development of procedures, working closely with the Quality Control Engineer for the procurement, assembly and testing of all equipment required in the construction of SRF cryomodules. It is expected that the post-holder will agree these management arrangements with our In-Kind partner (Fermilab) and with the STFC's PIP-II project team.
About you
You will have a broad understanding of engineering and hands-on experience. Knowledge/transferable skills in some specific areas of particle accelerator type technologies including: vacuum technology, cryogenics and clean room/low particulate control technology would be advantageous but not essential.
