The client: World renowned media owner.

The role: 3 days per week Banner Designer needed for 3 months remote / flexi remote London.

The brief: My client is looking to hire a digital designer to help us with creating Rich Media banners for advertisers on a global high profile user destination website that is one of the world's most successful digital news operations.

Ideally looking to hire someone for 3 days a week ASAP to December.

The Rich Media Digital Designer role will work across the entirety of the rich-media product portfolio life cycle from innovation to product build, maintenance and iteration. Alongside more strategic projects, there will also be more tactical projects such as ideating and developing bespoke executions for tier 1 client brief responses. As such, the role will work across multiple stakeholders including Design, Commercial Product, existing creative vendors, Commercial Sales and Client-side Marketing teams.

The Rich Media Digital Designer needs to be able to work independently across multiple projects that at times can have a quick turnaround.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Helping to facilitate more technical custom builds for templated formats
  • Work with creative platforms to design and build innovative rich media templates, which can be scaled to market fit products.
  • Develop rich-media iterations for sector specific use-cases and client needs.
  • Bespoke creative ideation and delivery for top tier campaigns/partnerships.
  • Help to maintain the current format portfolio, through providing education, support and consultation for rich media builds facilitated by Campaign Management or outsourced to a 3rd party.



Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong digital skills: working knowledge of HTML5.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, XD, Figma, storyboard sign-off.
  • 'Familiar with video editing and encoding/preparing video for the web. Working knowledge of Adobe Premier, Final Cut, After Effects is advantageous.
  • A thorough understanding of the importance of asset optimisation and file sizes in relation to digital advertising.
  • Experience working with rich-media creative build platforms such as IVO and Celtra.
  • Experience of Tag testing and in ad-server Troubleshooting.
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders and working directly with clients to manage asset delivery and creative sign-off.
  • Can-do attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Recognised design qualification e.g. BA, BFA etc or equivalent
  • Awareness of current digital trends and ability to interpret those into new creative executions
